Prince Conn, disillusioned with his father after meeting his half-brother, Kang Sho, decides to settle in Paikang. He marries Li-Tan, the Khitai maiden he rescued, and suffers from dreams about his father's unfaithfulness to Zenobia with Kang Lou-Dz.
